Our Committees

As an industry-owned organisation, part of our strength comes from listening to the sector. Our Industry Advisory and Technical Committees elevate our understanding of key issues and ground our work in real-life experience. Members provide informed advice to support our strategic directions.

Industry Advisory Committees

Industry Advisory Committees are standing groups that advise on the big picture. Members discuss key strategic interests and provide advice on industry specific matters. They report on industry opportunities, challenges, trends and requirements. This helps us identify workforce skills and training needed now and in the future. Currently there are five IACs; one for each sector under our remit.

Technical Committees

A Technical Committee is established for each training product project we undertake. Its role is to support product design, development, delivery, assessment and consultation needs. The committee operates under a Training Package Organising Framework for the development and content of nationally endorsed training packages.

Tasmanian Workforce

HumanAbility has established the Tasmanian Workforce Network to strengthen cross sector collaboration and ensure Tasmania has a strong voice in national workforce planning.
